An increasing number of portable, wearable and implantable medical devices depend on cost-effectively processing sensor data in real time. It can be a challenge to convert the voltage or current from bio-electrical sensors into accurate representations of blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, glucose concentration, activity level, etc. This presentation will show several examples of medical applications that use highly-integrated microcontroller-based measurement and processing systems connected to various sensors.
